The restaurant venue provides a fusion of French-British elegance and modern luxury
Located in the heart of Habtoor City, Dubai, lies Agatha, an exquisite restaurant that offers a seamless blend of vintage French-British sophistication and contemporary design. Conceived by Jessica Khouzami, Head Interior Architect of Arch Home Interiors and Susana Bataller, Founder of SB Interior Design Studio, Agatha offers a unique culinary experience that marries Asian flavours with modern French influences, all within a bespoke interior setting.
The design of Agatha is a masterclass in combining the timeless elegance of classical French-British aesthetics with a modern twist. Rich textures and thoughtfully curated ambient lighting work together to create a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. The firms’ collaborative vision was to craft a space that feels both timeless and inviting, where classical elements are enhanced by contemporary touches, offering a sophisticated yet welcoming environment.
The result is a captivating space that immerses visitors in a sensory journey. Agatha’s interiors are defined by vintage French-British aesthetics, with warm-hued, carpeted floors leading guests through dark, luxurious settings. Natural light plays a crucial role, interacting with carefully curated ambient lighting to highlight the fusion of timeless design and classic elegance.
One of the most significant challenges in designing Agatha according to the design firm was maximising the available space. The task involved accommodating a fully equipped kitchen, a 9-meter bar, a DJ booth, and seating for 150 guests within the existing structure. The project also required the closure of an existing skylight and the transformation of facade windows, all while maintaining the integrity of the non-contemporary building. Creating a striking entrance that aligned with the unique design vision added another layer of complexity to the project.
Agatha is more than just a dining venue; it’s an experience where design and cuisine come together to offer something truly extraordinary. The space reflects the vibrant essence of Asian flavours combined with contemporary French influences and innovative mixology, all set within an environment that epitomises bespoke luxury.
