The newest bathrooms are elegant spaces for relaxation and revitalizations.

R.I.G. Modules from MA-U Studio

R.I.G. Modules by Mikal Harrsen for MA-U Studio

R.I.G. Modules by Mikal Harrsen creates a sense of modernity both in residential and commercial spaces

“I designed the R.I.G. Modules bathroom variations to bring elegance to the rituals of this space of relaxation and revitalisation, through an aesthetic element,” says designer Mikal Harrsen of his new bathroom system. R.I.G. Modules from MA-U Studio comprises tailor-made mono-block units and basins in wood, lava stone, Corian or marble, complemented with a selection of mirrors, either rectangular or round, and with or without integrated lights. Other modular elements include light bars and towel racks. The designs are ideal for wall or freestanding compositions, creating a sense of modernity both in residential and commercial spaces.

Round Fisher by Piero Lissoni for CRS Boffi

Round Fisher by Piero Lissoni is the most minimalist of bathtubs

Piero Lissoni’s Round Fisher, made in collaboration with CRS Boffi, is the most minimalist of bathtubs as there is nothing superfluous in its design. In a grey matt satin finish, the original oval design was inspired by the natural beauty of Fisher Island, a private island off the coast of Miami Beach that was once owned by the Vanderbilt family. Made from smooth Corian, the huge half-sphere is sensual to touch and offers a sense of protection, while water embraces the body. Of his tub Lissoni has said, “I re-designed the circle.”

Tarsie geometriche by Martinelli Venezia Studio for Lithea

Tarsie geometriche is inspired by traditional stone production methods

Tarsie geometriche, designed by Martinelli Venezia Studio, is a collection of marble wall claddings. The innovative decoration is created by ‘inserting’ coloured mastic filler into an engraved marble surface. Inspired by traditional stone production methods, in particular, intarsia, this ancient crafting technique has been reinterpreted by using mastic as a filling material. Normally mastic is used to repair marble items; however, in this collection contrasting colours inserted into the background surface are used in such a way that they become the focal point. The material guarantees precise results quickly and easily, resulting in three-dimensional geometric designs for marble basins, tables, stools and other items.

Quadra collection by Massimo Luca for ADL

Quadra collection creates a sense of space and increases the light in any given room

The Quadra collection by Massimo Luca combines technical rigour with minimal aesthetics. The square aluminium door frame with central glass pane is designed to house large panels of safe, shatterproof glass (of up to 7 m2 for sliding doors) which create actual moving walls. Opening as a sliding system, it comprises a telescopic track. The system allows the track to be perfectly level, guaranteeing that the doors always slide fluidly, thus creating a sense of space and increasing the light in any given room.
