Cosentino’s newest Dekton® Pietra Kode collection is inspired by Italian architecture

With an eye on the future, the collection has been designed by Daniel Germani

id partnership: Surfaces brand Cosentino Group has recently added a new collection to its Dekton® series of high-performance, ultra-compact stone, designed by Argentinian designer and architect Daniel Germani – the third project conceived by the architect for the brand. Pietra Kode is a reinterpretation of the timeless beauty of three classic Italian stones (Vicenza, Travertine and Ceppo di Gré), paying homage to the beauty of Italian architecture.

“For this collection, I spent a lot of time decoding each stone’s history in Italian architecture and reimagined them in a contemporary design with all of the benefits of Dekton,” said Daniel Germani. “Pietra Kode is a collection that showcases luxury in the small, understated details. It’s designed with the future in mind and compliments any space in a way that won’t go out of style.”

While it looks back to the past, Germani’s collection showcases a future-forward attitude, where the stones are decoded then recoded within three Dekton® concrete series, enhancing their properties and possibilities for design and architecture. Featuring an array of rich shades and textures, the carbon-neutral Dekton® surface allows the collection to be used within expansive range of both indoor and outdoor applications.

For the Vicenza Kode series, the architect has developed four warm and versatile colours that are a reinterpretation of the classic Vicenza stone, balancing neutral tones reminiscent of the earth with palettes such as cream, wood and taupe.

The Travertine Kode series recodes the stone out of which Rome was built into a new technological vision, while referencing Renaissance architecture and classic style.

Finally, the Ceppo Kode series reinterprets a stone often used in the city of Milan – the Ceppo di Gré – that acts as a connector to nature – and much like with Vicenza, features design elements along the edges, making it ideal for revealing applications.

In Pietra Kode, one can find harmony in rich classical inspiration translated through a contemporary lens.
