First Hotel Indigo in the Middle East will be located on the banks of Dubai Creek.
Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is scheduled to open in summer 2020. It will be located on the banks of Dubai Creek, close to Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall.
Hotel Indigo is InterContinental Hotels Group’s boutique and lifestyle brand. This is its first hotel in the Middle East.
The 269 rooms all feature full-height windows and have been inspired by Dubai Creek. They include bespoke shisha lamps and surrealist wallpaper created exclusively by local artists. The wardrobes with carved wooden doors have been hand-crafted in Mashrabiya style but with a modern twist.
The bathrooms have been inspired by spas and pay homage to the country’s proud pearl diving heritage. Vibrant Moroso designer furniture adds a contemporary touch.
The hotel will support local creatives through its close association with the Alserkal Cultural Foundation, Tashkeel and XVA gallery. Its 200+ pieces of art and local design include intricately designed carpet, created through a partnership with the Fatima Bint Mohammed Bin Zayed Initiative (FBMI).
The hotel will offer plenty of social dining options. They include Neighbourhood Café, which will serve a sharing style menu full of delicious Levant flavours. There is also juice bar/concept store Bakala Jooos and a cocktail bar inspired by pop art and the Satwa area of Dubai.
The wellness deck at Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown includes a gym, yoga studio and 25-metre infinity pool.
