Explore Dubai’s OBLONG gallery without leaving your house

Contemporary art destination has introduced a virtual platform

Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery

Over the past three months, art fans would’ve missed wondering through a pristine gallery, discovering new pieces and familiarising themselves with works of their favourite artists. Noticing this need for a creative escape, Dubai’s Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery has implemented a digital strategy, bringing you closer to your favourite artists without having to leave your home.

Using market’s latest video graphics and techniques to showcase the gallery and all of it’s artworks, the online virtual gallery tour is the next best thing to physically visiting the space. Navigate through the works of Colombian minimalistic marble sculptor Gustavo Velez; hyper-realistic photography painter Enrico Ghinato; conceptual animal sculptor Stefano Bombardieri; leading Latin American painter Julio Larraz; and classical sculptor Igor Mitoraj, who echoed old Roman and Greek cultures with a post-modern twist.

“I believe that a virtual gallery is something that will not only be of benefit to our  Dubai space now, but will also be a great platform to use going forward, for people to view our artists from abroad as well as from the comfort of their homes,” says Emanuela Venturini, Founding Partner of Oblong Contemporary Art Gallery.

“The idea of such a mixture of beautiful works by such talented artists, sitting in a space which is not accessible is very saddening. Thankfully we don’t have to worry about that anymore!”

The best part? Access to the virtual gallery is completely free, so you can take as much time as you need, observing 50 masterpieces that are paired with information on the artist and composition of the piece.
