Abu Dhabi’s home-grown arts and design center to reopen on September 14, 2019.
The current curated exhibition, Nomadic Traces: A Journey of Arabian Scripts as well as the collaborative exhibition, Lest We Forget: The Universality of Family Photographs at Warehouse421 in Abu Dhabi have come to a close. On show since March, the two exhibitions enjoyed a massive number of visitors from across the region.
Warehouse421 is an art and design centre that focuses on preserving the cultural identity of the past and present civilizations of the region, their commonalities, arts, heritage and influences.
Commenting on the exhibitions, Faisal Al Hassan, Manager of Warehouse421, said, “Warehouse 421 has grown out of the curiosity of the arts and design community of Abu Dhabi and the UAE, and it’s fantastic to see how these artworks and exhibitions have participated in the wider creative ecosystem of the country. These exhibitions and their pieces have asked some bold questions through anti-disciplinary formats, and we hope that visitors have been able to engage with these for the development of their own artistic practice.”
Warehouse421 closed for the summer on July 29 and will reopen on September 14, 2019.
